News Release -> Branding Seminar Focuses on Identity and Messages

Date Added: 09/16/04

September 16, 2004 - David Yeghiaian, president and owner of Unique Business Solutions, LLC, Green Bay, will present a seminar "Branding and Market Positioning for Nonprofits," at the Best Western Midway Hotel in Green Bay on Oct. 7. The event is sponsored by the Volunteer Center of Brown County, United Way of Brown County and Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.

The program will center on how organizations can understand branding, utilize a unique brand management process, and develop organizational messages for effective market positioning. While geared for nonprofit organizations, the information is also relevant for board members and for-profit organizations.

The seminar's timing correlates with a recent analysis of senior leaders, where brand positioning was cited 50 percent of the time as an important challenge to increase revenues and grow market share. Only understanding customers' needs (62 percent) edged brand positioning as being vital to growing revenues. This topic will be discussed during the seminar as well.

Yeghiaian has demonstrated results on a global scale in a breadth of services such as brand management, marketing communications, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions. His experience includes work with Fortune 500, nonprofit, government and private organizations in Milwaukee, Madison and Green Bay.

He has guided brand management efforts at a Fortune 500 company, resulting in the company being selected as one of the five best in the nation in brand management and integrated marketing communications. Yeghiaian also is an adjunct instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and Lakeland College, having taught courses on corporate strategy, business, leadership, marketing and communications.

For registration information, contact Devorah Vineburg at The Volunteer Center of Brown County at 920-429-9445. The registration fee of $45 includes the cost of the seminar, buffet breakfast and workshop materials. The deadline is Sept. 30.
